    Hello,

I cannot even get started. Downloaded the image, booting it, it presents me with X11, and a login screen (xdm I suppose) and asks me to login to a user called pi. Nowhere have I found the default password. "pi" and empty passwords do not work.

Login 'pi' , password 'raspberry' . Please look at our installation guide http://www.q4os.org/dqa010.html

    Thank you :).
I'm one step further. Keeping the default selection of english presents me with a file manager window that has folders with names in it that I don't understand. Trying to install applications I am prompted to make a Desktop default selection, and I go with BASIC. However, a popup window tells me that the package manager is busy, and I should try again later. I restarted the system twice, and still, I get this same message every time I chose BASIC.

Folder names - it's known bug, will be resolved in the next Q4OS release.

'Desktop profiler' is one of the few tools, that are not fully functional on the ARM architecture yet, please choose 'Keep installed Q4OS ...' profile and install applications the standard way, using 'apt' package management system.

Keep in mind, Q4OS for Raspberry Pi is the testing release now. However it runs very stable and should be free of serious bugs.

There is new Q4OS 1.4.2.1 RPI release to download from our website. The 'folder names and wrong locale' bug is fixed now.
