I've tried to register on that forum and keep getting the error, "The email address you entered is banned in this forum. Please choose another email address." I've tried several email addresses.

The forum s/w you are using (FluxBB) apparently has a problem that has not been fixed...when trying to post there all I can get no matter what I've tried is the error: "Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source." After trying to post there a bunch of times, I've given up on using your new forum.

Sorry for the inconvenience, the fluxbb forum might be temporarily locked out for maintenace. Please do a new registration, try it again and report here. You should pass exact forum url 'http://www.q4os.org/forum/' to the address bar.

Thanks !!
Did another, new registration, and tried a test posting...and:
Bad HTTP_REFERER.
Sadly - the exact same error is all I can get.
(It pops up when trying other things too.)
I actually spent some time searching at the forum for that FluxBB before asking for help.
Sadly, it appears that this error is well known, but not fixed.
I hope there is some way that I can post at the new forum as I have questions I want to discuss and this 'old' forum seems quite inactive.
Thanks, and Best Regards.

We are not able to reproduce the issue. Simply registered test user and did some testing posts. New users are registering every week, you are the only one with this issue as far as we know. We would like to resolve it, but we would need to reproduce it. Could it depend on your web browser ? Which one do you use ?

I tried several browsers: K-Meleon in 2 versions, Firefox, Palemoon, and pre-chrome Opera.
(There is no chrome variant or any ie in use on my PCs.)
Also tried via an online HTTP proxy - same result.
If you visit their own site/forum you'll see that this "Bad HTTP_REFERER" is a known error.

Since I have not obtained the live CD, I will have to make do for now just searching for general answers pertinent to Debian 8 and hope they work on this OS.
I remain impressed in all ways with this OS except for the lack of easy access to its own forum.
Thanks for replying here to my help requests.

Nobody else reports similar issue, you are the only one. Unfortunately, we cannot to fix it, if not reproducible, we are very sorry for inconvenience.

Actually it occurs to me that I may be the ONLY one who has followed ALL avenues in attempting contact - that others who have gotten that error have simply given up.
It may be very revealing if someone looks at the forum stats there to see how many users have successfully registered - and made zero posts - since the beginning.
When obstructed at the 'new' forum, not only did I investigate the error message itself at the forum s/w provider - but I also sought out every means of contact possible.
(Very few folks are follow-up freaks like me, this I know for a fact.)
As a long time Linux user I am always glad that it is possible to find general answers to problems by referring to info pertinent to the parent (or base) distro - which in this case is Debian.
Because of this ability I have already searched out most of my needed answers while waiting to be told that this forum access problem is exclusive to myself - with only a single exception.
I will email my single query directly rather than posting it as I suspect that it is one which needs to be kept private.
Final thought in reply:
As of last night I have Q4OS about 90% set up as I desire it to be for daily usage and have just one more distro to test before settling on a new 'daily driver' OS - and that other is Pratham OS which is another descendant of Debian.

Is it possible that you may also respond to my other queries here as I cannot post there, please ??
Thanks.
We would recommend to boot the Q4OS liveCD and try posting the forum from. Please let a result here for us to analyze.
