I may be a minority with Linux, as I don't like all the fluffy sticky sweet crap that's being piled onto the desktops these days. I prefer a classic UI such as a Windows 95/98/ME style, a simple task bar, a simple start menu etc. Right now I'm using Zorin OS Lite and have a couple of themes setup to resemble either classic Windows or XP, but of course Open Box is a bit light on features and the themes aren't so accurate. It throws me off a bit. When I saw the screen shot for your classic theme, it was spot on for me and I really wanted to use it. Unfortunately Q4OS refuses to install from a USB stick for me.
If you get installing from a USB working, I'll be back to try Q4OS and I do hope you keep going in this direction. I may be a minority in my theme/desktop desire, but there are a lot of other users out there with the same desire.

Unetbootin is the right tool to create Q4OS bootable installation media. The media normally boots from USB stick on most of general PCs, please check your BIOS to be configured properly to boot from USB.

So far best distro i ever tried. Last one was ubuntu 15.4 with few crashes and crashes from time to time. Contrary with this distro only one problem with sound using skype 4.3. Solved it installing pavucontrol (PulseAudio Volume Control) from synaptic package manager. Till this distro knoppix was one of the best with minimal problems. Q4OS is my bet. Installed lot of things especially for mono programming platform and everything worked out of the box. Great job guys !!!! Searching long time platform to switch off windows dependency and so far it looks i found what i need. Not to mention my old badaxe intel mobo with 2G 800Mhz xms memory (working on only 533Mhz) and core2duo e6600 cpu overclocked from 2.4 to 3.3Ghz. With ancient ati 1600xt pci graphic card everything flying. Multiple tasks and low cpu contention. Guys you got one user. Thank You so musch for your effort!

I downloaded and installed Q4os last year on my old Dell GX270 and it seems to work just fine. The only problem seems to be in sound on some web sites in Firefox. After 4 or 5 hours on iheart radio the audio begins to stutter. Refreshing the page though seems to fix the problem (at least for the next 4 or 5 hours). I had Ubuntu installed on my Dell Dimension 8400 but now something has gone wrong and it crashes about 5 to 10 minutes after starting up. I can't even get the machine to reboot into windows (dual boot system). I end up having to completely power down and restart. So now, I'm looking to install Q4os on that machine as well. If I'm reading the docs correctly it appears you have finally released your 'official' version as opposed to the beta I had originally installed. Am looking forward to trying it out.

Recent 1.4.3 version is excellent and its the best distro Ive tried since LInux Lite 2.4.
The small download size to install is a boon to many of us with slow internet connections and its performance is great as most people user older hardware.

I've experienced Unetbootin and Rufus and both worked well....
Just check your usb pendrive and your BIOS to be configured properly to boot from USB.
