Thanks for giving it a try. I recommend doing performance comparisons within a version of PyXB: there are a lot of changes since 1.2.2 that might have had multiple cumulative impacts on performance. I don't do a lot of performance benchmarking (correctness and conformance is the priority for me) so if you find an issue I'd appreciate a trac ticket with the details. Doing this with the 1.2.3 release coming out in the next day or so would be helpful as I could take it into account during any major refactoring for PyXB 1.3. For Python 3 right now I'm mostly interested in just whether it works. All my tests so far suggest it should be pretty stable.
