I could not install it since I already had installed it prior to installing
SP1 for Win2k3

Maybe that's the problem??? Sean - did you install .NET Framework 1.1 SP1
before or after Win2k3 SP1?

I can't see any such beast.  I downloaded the framework from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9B3A2CA6-3647-4070-
9F41-A333C6B9181D&displaylang=en and it makes no reference to a service pack
for .NET itself.
