Summary: Windows 7: Installer fails to find python registry key
Initial Comment:
When trying to install pywin32-214.win32-py2.6.exe, I get the error "Python version 2.6 required, which was not found in the registry."
I click Okay, and the installer presents me with a window asking for python directory and installation directory; however, I am unable to type into either field.
I have python 2.6.4 installed, and the registry key HKLM\Software\Python\PythonCore\2.6\InstallPath points to the installation path.
I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

Message:
Never mind, I just found the amd64 version of the installer, which works.
My apologies for the not-a-bug report.
