Initial Comment:
After copying all(?) files the installation procedure terminates with the following message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<string>", line 601, in <module>
  File "<string>", line 311, in install
  File "<string>", line 149, in LoadSystemModule
ImportError: DLL load failed: Diese Anwendung konnte nicht gestartet werden, weil die Anwenungskonfiguration nicht korrekt ist. Zur Problembehebung sollten Sie die Anwendung neu installieren.

OS is WInXP Professional SP3;
I installed everything as normal Win-User, not Admin!
Latest Python version is installed (python-2.6.4.msi).

Older Version 2.4 can be installed without any trouble.
I could not find any error report containing the above in conjunction with branch 214.
