as of now python-ldap 2.0.0pre05 / OpenLDAP 2.0.12 /on SuSe Linux (on client
machine).....

your suggestions are welcome.....please confirm if upgradation to OpenLDAP
2.0.13 is a must taking in to consideration the above conf.

Not only supported. Since python-ldap 2.x OpenLDAP 2.x is REQUIRED.

Which version of python-ldap?

Which version of OpenLDAP? AFAIK you need at least OpenLDAP 2.0.13 when
building with TLS support.
