Running ld -R tells me its an invalid option...: 34% ld -R ld: unknown flag: -R I would suggest one of two things, find where this -Wl option is being defined and get rid of the -R/usr/lib option. Or try compiling the source without i386 support, but having not compiled this yet I don't know if this -R option is specific to the i386 architecture linker flags or not.
