Hi, Just had a student confused with the behavior of initial in the module control.matlab. Looking at the help: initial(sys, T=None, X0=0.0, input=0, output=0, **keywords) Initial condition response of a linear system If the system has multiple inputs or outputs (MIMO), one input and one output have to be selected for the simulation. The parameters `input` and `output` do this. All other inputs are set to 0, all other outputs are ignored. I think the part about inputs is complete bull, since they don't play a role in initial condition response. Is there any reason to select only a single output? If there are no objections, I will update this one, and make it a bit more in line with the one in Matlab (R) Greetings, René -- René van Paassen | ______o____/_| Ren...@gm... <[___\_\_-----< t: +31 15 2628685 | o' mobile: +31 6 39846891 |
