If this is your issue, you have three possibilities: 1.- Recompile PyTables sources with NumPy 1.4.1 (see chapter 2 of UG). 2.- Install NumPy 1.3.x in your machine 3.- Wait until I release PyTables 2.2rc1 (probably next week).
