Your PySerial interface is brilliant, and contributes hugely to cross-platform development.

It would be really great, though, if you could also add in support for IronPython, to use .NET/Mono's Sys.IO.Ports

check out the version from the SVN repository i've added a backend for .NET/Mono (note: SVN not CVS)
however i can't easily run my tests as the "unittest" module is missing in the IronPython distribution i've downloaded.
