Hi there,
the compilation of pypar 2.1.0 fails with the following errormessage:
---------------
gcc -pthread -DNDEBUG -O2 -fmessage-length=0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector -g -fmessage-length=0 -Wall -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fstack-protector -O2 -fPIC -I/usr/lib64/mpi/gcc/openmpi/include/openmpi -I/usr/lib64/mpi/gcc/openmpi/include -I/usr/lib64/python2.5/site-packages/numpy/core/include -I/usr/include/python2.5 -c mpiext.c -o build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.5/mpiext.o -fPIC -m64
gcc: -fPIC -m64: No such file or directory
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
-------------
I've compiled it with the following fix:
------------

I think all extra_compile_args should be list of strings. See:

I see the same problem and the same fix. I use Ubuntu 8.10 (Nov 2008 version). Presumably, you should also fix the pgcc and icc versions, too.
