I've got my application building on Panther without a problem, but now I want to build it on Jaguar so that when I release it, people with Jaguar can run it, too. However, when I do the build on Jaguar and try to run it there, I get a Segmentation Fault before the application comes up. On that machine, I have Python 2.3.3 and I can run it from the Terminal and import objc and see that objc.__version__ == "1.1". I thought it might be a bad PyObjC installation, so I installed it again from the sources and ran "sudo python setup.py install" and it seemed to install fine. However, I still get a Segmentation Fault whenever I run the application. I'm building with "python buildapp.py build" and the same buildapp.py works on my Panther machine. Here are some excerpts from the crash log: Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS (0x0001) at 0x7c7c1bcc Thread 0 Crashed: #0 0x10049768 in PyType_IsSubtype (typeobject.c:817) #1 0x00d4c9d8 in _dyid_func_lookup #2 0x10076ee8 in call_function (ceval.c:3440) ... #18 0x100b5a9c in Py_Main (pythonrun.c:865) #19 0x0001b5c in _start #20 0x000019dc in start As far as I can see none of my code has been run, so it is some kind of configuration problem. How do I fix this? Thanks for your help, Bob |
