Dear Jason, After editing ~/.pymolrc and running pymol again, the problem still persists with message: " Detected OpenGL version 2.0 or greater. Shaders available." Also, I'm a bit confused about .pymolrc from the link ( http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Pymolrc), is there really load_sep.py script, or it's just an example of how to launch a script during runtime? (I removed that line from rc) On Wed, Oct 10, 2012 at 12:16 AM, Jason Vertrees < jas...@sc...> wrote: > Ivan, > > Try putting this in your ~/.pymolrc file > (http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Pymolrc): > > set use_shaders, 0 > set sphere_mode, 0 > > and re-start PyMOL. > > Cheers, > > -- Jason > > On Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 3:54 PM, Ivan Pavicevic <iv...@gm...> wrote: > > Hi Jason, > > > > I followed compiling instructions from > > http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Linux_Install > > Actually, first attempts were with instructions from INSTALL (setup.py > build > > install ...) and faced same problem. > > This machine is Lenovo G550 notebook with poor "Intel Graphics Media > > Accelerator 4500MHD" graphics, but I successfully had used PyMol on > > OpenSUSE. > > Cheers, > > Ivan > > > > > > On Tue, Oct 9, 2012 at 3:37 PM, Jason Vertrees > > <jas...@sc...> wrote: > >> > >> Hi Ivan, > >> > >> How did you install PyMOL?
