Hi Warren (and Co.),
We have a single set of PyMOL installations (linux and both OS X architectures) serving quite a few users at this point, and over the last few years, we've collected a half dozen or so "must-have" PyMOL plugins that I have to re-install for each PyMOL upgrade. Since the installation is served from a read-only NFS directory, all plugin installations get shuttled to me.
A feature I would love to see is to have PyMOL search a directory in $HOME for suitable plugins and enable them at start up. That way I could, e.g. just have our users add eMovie.py to $HOME/.pymol/plugins/ and they'd get their eMovie lovin' without ever involving me.
The 1.2 beta having APBS baked in has made me greedy. :-)
Thanks.

The new Plugin Manager (PyMOL 1.5.0.5) supports this.
