pyExtractor got a new version today. It now supports multiple profiles, has better cache management, and some icons and stuff. Now you can click a happy refresh button on the toolbar, useful while doing search engine optimization. And a fancy about dialog that doesn't work in Windows. Oops.

The first release of pyExtractor ever was made today. 0.0.1, that is. It's avialable as a source tarball that should run wherever wxPython runs. It's also available as a standalone windows program, with self-installer. It's not pretty, but it works. pyExtractor is intended to be used while search engine optimizing web pages. It uses an xml file as a profile to weigh words with a close approximation to how a real search engine weighs the words.
