I have no trouble compiling and installing python-bibtex-1.1.93.1 and pybliographer-1.2.3. However, I can only run pybliographic from the directory in which I did the compiling. Here is what I did: as regular user: cd /home/madeline/pybliographer/pybliographer-1.2.3 ./configure make su to root then: make install I didn't get any error messages for any of these steps and pybliographic works as long as I stay in the directory where I unpacked the source. If however I change to a different directory and type "pybliographic", I get: /usr/local/bin/pybliographic: line 28: /home/madeline/pybliographer: is a directory /usr/local/bin/pybliographic: line 28: exec: /home/madeline/pybliographer: cannot execute: Success Should I have set a prefix during the compilation/installation? I figured the defaults were fine and it did put files over to /usr during install. If you want to have a look at what was spit out on my screen during the configure/make/make install process, take a look at http://members.rogers.com/madeline.pool/pybliographer.txt If anyone can point me in the right direction for getting it to run from any directory, I'd be grateful. Thanks. Madeline __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - More reliable, more storage, less spam http://mail.yahoo.com |
