I feel stupid to say that I just gave a try to ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/recode/recode-3.6.tar.gz with configure ... && make && make install, even without any patch (maybe included by now in the tarball, I don't know). Anyway, I haven't found a patch for the source. Then I started pyblio, and it started smoothly. If I may, I would suggest that if it works for others, the webpage should be updated; and also maybe the if-test (line:4319) in the configure script could issue only a warning about the difficulties with recode. It could be a good idea to add a link to the gnu repository, for 3.6 is absent from the one of UdeM (umontreal). Best regards, Xavier |
