Pybber / News: Recent posts

After a couple of months with almost no work on my professional jobs, I've got overloaded again and because of that, I'm suspending the development of Pybber again.

I pretend to release a .deb file with the CVS state as soon as Debian Woody gets released. After that, I'll eventually upload some bugfixes to CVS and to .deb files, but I think that I cannot make big changes for a while. Sorry for that, and if you can help on doing some changes, tell me, I can commit them if I like.

After more than a year of hold, the Pybber project is being revived. Two reasons taked me away from it on last year, my all-day-and-night work and the expectation of Python 2.x on Debian.

Now I'm using Debian Woody, that have Python 2.1 and it's good feature of UNICODE, this way PyRECODE (that crappy wrapper of librecode for Python) isn't needed anymore.

I've made major changes on jpy ( part of PyJaMa - see http://sf.net/projects/pyjama ) and I'm forking it and placing it inside Pybber project's CVS.... read more
