Can your users provide some details on when/where it fails, e.g. fails 
when showing a particular plot etc.  Then put some print statements into 
that area of the code to narrow down were it fails.

If you use Python 2.3 or higher you might consider using the logging module.

The missing modules shown by py2exe are unlikely an issue (in my view), 
I am pretty shure that they would cause an exception.
