Hi, I'd like to build an exe based on a cygwin installation of python. The reason I have used python under cygwin is that I wanted to use pexpect. pexpect is ok with cygwins version of python but is not reported to work with ActiveState version of python. I have written a script based on pexpect, ConfigObj and cheetah. And it would be great to be able to build an exe so I can distribute it. I get the feeling py2exe does not support cygwin's version of python. And I wonder if there is a way to make py2exe look down cygwin's directory structure. Most installs of cygwin python executable would probably be down C:/Cygwin/bin/python.exe (C:/Cygwin/bin/python.exe points to C:/Cygwin/bin/python2.4.exe when I ls -l in /bin/pyth* in my cygwin installation but when I do a dir from a cmd window I just see C:\Cygwin\bin\python2.4.exe) site lib looks to be down C:\Cygwin\lib\python2.4\ Any suggestions on how to make py2exe work with cygwin or how to make an executable via an alternate package would be appreciated. regards, Hamish Kibblewhite |
