In the samples directory the simple example of a window program (test_wx.py) in the version of Py2exe for Python 2.4 raises the following error for me. ImportError: No module named wxPython.wx. I know this is a popular GUI kit but I have no idea if it is supposed to be standard with Python and/or python2exe or whether it was just an addon for this example. In any case this didn't seem to afect other things. I compiled my Tkinter based app as a console program with no problem. And it looked pretty good. I'm very impressed. This finally makes it possible for me to distribute class software to students who havent a clue about Linux, Python or programming. PS: The file test_wx.exe.log would not be accepted by this mail server until I removed the ".exe" extension. Best, Mark Gawron -- Jean Mark Gawron <ga...@ma...> -- Jean Mark Gawron <ga...@ma...> |
