Hello, Apologies if I missed this in the archive, but it is a source of confusion for me. Here is the command-line, "help" information provided by a Microsoft Service generated by py2exe 0.5.3: > my_service.exe Services are supposed to be run by the system after they have been installed. These command line options are available for (de)installation: -help -install -remove -auto -disabled -interactive -user: <arg> -password: <arg> The following installs the service using the default account (i.e., the user and password information is ignored): > my_service.exe -install -auto -user: me -password: ok The following installs the service using the specified user and password information (note absence of colons): > my_service.exe -install -auto -user me -password ok I found the following lines in the "help" to be confusing: -user: <arg> -password: <arg> What is the reason for the colons? -- jv |
