Hi, using the following settings: UTF-8, Windows newline characters If I generate a list of passwords to the screen it appears like this: 5 passwords generated. Entropy of the first password: 58.3 bits. Maximum entropy of the entire list: 256.0 bits. 6NTKs983ye ktkP6qBy7E 6cBq2Nn9Cr kYU6ktqHCR Q3hYo6LpBM But if I generate to a file, the file contents look like this when opened in notepad: cyuMjkjp5Cc y u M j k j p 5 C EV53MVSWUsE V 5 3 M V S W U s fdy35vkEgVf d y 3 5 v k E g V tH3e7gf3F3t H 3 e 7...
Hello, thank you very much for the updated translation. I had already received an update from another translator about 30min before yours. Please check the French.po file for version 3.5.10 that I've uploaded to GitHub and SourceForge.
Hello, Here the French translation for "Password Tech Portable 3.5.10" updated, if you accept. see attached file "French.po" Best Regards, Jenyco2
Thanks for that Christian. Errare humanum est.
Thanks for that Christian. Errare humanum est. Maybe there's some hope for the rest of us after all!
Thanks for that Christian. Human error. Seems there may be some hope for us after all!
Thanks for the report. I noticed that I forgot to update the README file with the checksums for the released files. I updated the README, so the checksums should be correct now.
For version 3.5.7 the SHA256 Checksums available on SourceForge at https://sourceforge.net/projects/pwgen-win/files/Password%20Tech/3.5.7/ seem not to match those of all four of the files.
I see you've added it in version 3.5.7. Thanks!
The "Generate password" label has the same font characteristics as the other labels, including the "Settings" label of the corresponding group box. Can you please be more specific with respect to the statement "renders differently to other text in the UI"? I didn't even notice the settings box label, so it makes sense now. My brain just grouped the Generate Password label in with the bolded labels within the settings box. The password box has its own font settings, which are independent of the font...
Hello Stuart, Thank you for your report. Here are my comments: * The "Multiple passwords" label is indeed not auto-sized as it should be. Will be fixed. * The "Generate password" label has the same font characteristics as the other labels, including the "Settings" label of the corresponding group box. Can you please be more specific with respect to the statement "renders differently to other text in the UI"? * The password box has its own font settings, which are independent of the font settings...
Hopefully this is just me doing something wrong or an odd edge case, but in case it isn't: Attached image demonstrates how the multiple passwords label clips (can be made worse by increasing font size), the generated password label on the bounding box renders differently to other text in the UI, and the generated password text box fails to scale with other UI elements. Thegenerated password box element appears to sit at the top of the Z order and be immune to scaling, either by Windows itself, or...
Thank you for this great suggestion. I will add a box to the "Character Set Builder" that allows specifying characters to be excluded from the selected character sets.
The "Character Set Builder" lets one define the characters that should be included in generated passwords. This suggestion is to add a way to exclude certain characters. This would allow one to, for example, select "Special symbols" and still create usable passwords when dealing with systems having password requirements similar to the following: Password must be between 12 characters and 128 characters long. Include a uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, at least one: number or a special character,...
