I've just started using PVMGmake on Solaris 2.7. We have 3 multiprocessor machines, and therefore, I'm using sp=8000 and sp=4000 in the hosts file. I'm spawning off about 17-21 processes at a time.
Periodically, pvmgmake will simply lose a process, and stop, without error. Just build an object and then stop. This happens at various places within the Makefile, and none have anything much in common.
I notice that to cleanup after this, I need to go into the pvm console and reset. After the reset (or even a halt) there will still be one make_pvm process running. How is this possible??? And how can I prevent it???
