after pin to taskbar(my laptop os is windows 11), click the icon on taskbar, will start the original putty application not the putty-nd application, this is too confused, please help to resolve it
No, not dup issue, the 42 issue is only icon issue.
My issue is about the action after we click the icon, it points to the original putty application, not putty-nd application, and this is too confused: why I pin putty-nd to taskbar, but click it leed to open putty not putt-nd

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
The 42 issue is not only the icon issue, this issue is easy to reproduce.
You may know, it did not run into any code of putty-nd and all it needs is the path to the app.
The chances are that the Windows may take "-nd" as the commander option in some situation.
You may try the workaround: starting it and pinning it on the right click menu, or rename it to putty or any others.

Hello, @Noodle any update?

OK,I see now.
Thank you so much for your detail reply!
Everything works fine after I uninstall the original putty program.
