I'd like to look at using ptpd on my linux servers but am not sure where to start on the compile. can anyone provide assistance? I have the source code unzipped in my home folder.

Note that on many recent Linux distros there are default sets of IP filtering rules which will filter UDP, and therefore prevent PTP from working. You must allow UDP packets from ports 319 and 320 to enter your machine for PTP to work.

was able to compile but it doesn't seem to work. doesn't seem to do anything.
