I am looking for a RH6.5 rpm for ptpd.
1) From the following link I found "ptpd-2.3.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm" https://sourceforge.net/projects/ptpd/files/ptpd/2.3.0/RHEL-CENTOS-6.4/
2) From the note below the above link, I see this RHEL-CENTOS-6.4 folder contains RPMs built for a CentOS 6.4 system and RHEL 6.4+
Does it mean that I can take "ptpd-2.3.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm" and install it in RedHat Linux 6.5 ?
Can someone please let me know.. as I would like to deploy this one in RH6.5
Thanks
Hi,
Yes. 6.4+ means 6.5, that should work for you.
You can also build the RPMs yourself on RHEL6.5. There is a rpmbuild.sh script in the packagebuild/ directory in the source.
