    Greetings,

What is the correct command to issue on 2 OSX machines connected through ethernet on the same switch?

The following is what I have been doing but getting strange results.

    On the master: sudo ptpd2 -i en0 -MECV -d <slave_ip>
    On the salve: sudo ptpd2 -i en0 -sECV -d <master_ip>

To elaborate on my results, the offset from master is constantly increasing until they are off by 1 second. Then the slave clock will step backwards a second to better match the master at which point the same increasing offset scenario repeats. Ideally I would like the clocks to be synced to a much smaller amount compared to a second.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

      Hi Kyle,

As I wrote you in the prevous post, I've got the same behaviour as you.
I solve this problem having a litte change in the adjTime function. If you are interested in, have a look at the post : https://sourceforge.net/p/ptpd/discussion/469208/thread/1351bdb3/#04d2

      Regards,

    Hi Kyle,

I have the same behaviour as you. I'm running ptpd-2.3.0 over a Lynxos machine, which is a OSX like operating system. Did you solve the problem? Have you got any suggestions to give?

    Many thanks,
    Caterina
