Hello,
I would like to annotate the protein modification reported here:
PMID:28801462
"Protein glutaminylation is a yeast-specific posttranslational modification of elongation factor 1A."
but I can't locate anything relevent searching on "glutamin...."
Does it exist as another name, or does it need to be added
Not sure how to define, but it seems to be the attachment of a specific glutamine residue in a glutamate in ef1A
Thanks,
Val
Hi Val, we are now maintaining PSI-MOD over on GitHub, This site is now obsolete. I have posted your issue here:
https://github.com/HUPO-PSI/psi-mod-CV/issues/9
I hope that it will be addressed very soon.
Please continue the discussion there and create new term requests as GitHub issues over there.
thanks!
Eric
Hi Val, (crossposting this to both sites)
This isn't currently in the PSI-MOD CV, but certainly should be! It would be similar to MOD:01970, but with a glutaminyl in place of the glutamyl. I'll create the pull request over on github to add this modification.
Paul
Thanks for bringing the Glutaminylation modification to my attention. I am trying to migrate the PSI-MOD to GitHub. I will check that report, prepare entries for RESID and PSI-MOD and notify you of the pending entry identifiers.
John, I've got this in a pull request over on GitHub now. https://github.com/HUPO-PSI/psi-mod-CV/pull/8/commits/c8e93731d382e173db311856755357848b3c7666 Didn't know that RESID was still going. Happy to integrate those new RESID terms into PSI-MOD.
Hi John, no need to migrate PSI-MOD to GitHub, it is already there!
https://github.com/HUPO-PSI/psi-mod-CV
Can you help with an outstanding issue:
https://github.com/HUPO-PSI/psi-mod-CV/issues/5
Do you have the script that generates the XML from the OBO? If so, would
you share it?
If you send me your GitHub username, I can add you to the organization.
Thanks!
Eric
