Subject: Re: [Proxool-developer] JDK 1.2 Date: 19 Jun 2003 10:36:27 +0100 First and foremost: Sorry for being invisible again. I have been very procupied with other stuff. Time to focus on Proxool. > Whilst browsing the avalon-dev mail list I notice that they are > considering the use of CGLIB (which has just recently released 1.0) as a > drop in replacement for the Proxy class in JDK 1.3. > > Any thoughts on actually replacing our use of Proxy with this? http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=4507795 ...so yes, I support it. Cannibalize or depend? By the way: Maybe time to set up a roadmap for 1.0? Here are some stuff I would like to see implemented before 1.0. What do you others have on your picklist? * DataSource * JXM (just doc missing) * DocBook docu. * Support for timed configuration changes (e.g. switching to another database at night). * A cleanup of the logic considering giving urls/aliases to the Driver. I still find myself confused about this.
