It would be very useful to be able to include additional data arrays in the mzML output (for example, the signal-to-noise peak labels from Thermo RAW data).

This has been requested before on the mailing lists, so I am just adding my support for such a feature. As discussed, the information can be readily extracted using Thermo's libraries and is supported in mzML, so the main difficulty seems to be how to implement this feature within the existing software architecture in terms of verbosity, etc (as well as finding time to implement, of course). Would it work to add an optional flag for "super verbose" that would extract as much information as possible from the raw file? Someone using this feature would presumably be willing to accept the much larger file size in order to be able to access the data they need.
