Dear Prof Donker, I wrote a letter on 29 June 2005 to the director of AIMS, Prof Hahne, to express my dissatisfaction about the way my delivery of the short course that I gave there was handled, and he replied that if I so complain, the only option is for me to resign, and that he will contact you about that. I hope he thus contacted you. I reality, this was only the first grievance that I have expressed to him, and my letter shows clearly that I was still enthusiastic to remain a member of AIMS. However, the first AET meeting was due for the beginning of September, and important issues regarding the registration of the students are supposed to be dealt with very urgently in this month of September, and this usually involves AET reps, but no one has contacted me and since October 2004, I have been asked to attend only one AET meeting, on 18 May 2005. For the sake of giving AIMS the best chance of success, I'd highly appreciate if you could find someone to replace me, because this is precisely what its director wants. I will write a letter to give you a more detailed account of what have led to this situation. For now, I will immediately let you have a copy of the director's reply together with my original letter. Regards, JC Ndogmo. |
