Most of the feedback that I get about Projectory has to do with incorporating project planning capabilities into the application. I want to make it clear that this is absolutely the direction that the application is taking, and that the 2.0 release is a critical step in that process. The code has been cleaned up considerably and significant code reduction/performance improvements have been made; the new UI framework is in place; lots of the pesky little bugs and quirks have been addressed. All of this clears the way to incorporating major new features into the application.
Project tracking is critical to understanding what is happening in a software development process, to recognize and address problems in scheduling before they become expensive. Effective project planning is of course the other requirement to successful implementation.
This forum should be used to propose and discuss the project planning features that will define the 3.0 release and fulfill the vision for Projectory as the most powerful and flexible project management software in the world.

I'm trying to deply this using Sybase as the backend db and integrate it with our own cookie-based authentication system. This will require singificant modifications to much of the system - which I'll send you if/when I ever get it going.
It would be a great help to me if in future releases the CGI is split into serveral .pl files which could be included into the main CGI - something like a utility.pl, html.pl and so on. It is too overwhelming to print and review the whole thing.

Hi, this looks great but I'd be interested in seeing the new version before we go ahead. Is this any closer?
