[project-open-development] Integration with Mail Server

Dear all,

I am using Project Open 3.2 on Ubuntu 10.4.
I try to configure it with our mailserver which is located outside in US.

I followed the above link & find the below link to solve the issues 
occured while configuring :

The above link shows the link that describes to configure hmailserver in 
Windows but my situation is different :

1. I need to install Project Open 3.4 on Ubutu 10.4 Server
2. Users access the server from different environments ( Linux or Windows )

I find it difficult to understand the link below that shows how to solve 
this issue by sendmail.

I think we have to configure sendmail on Server on which Project Open is 
running or I am wrong.

What we have to write in */etc/mail/auth/client-info file
*What <smarthost> corresponds : IP of Project Open Server or Domain name 
of Mail server or Sytem of Ip from which it is going to acces

How different mail ID of different users mail through Project Open
