Hi Paul and Michael, Great to see Dutch is advancing so well! > Casex It's not used anymore. It was the name of the old "Expenses" capturing system. We'already deleted the respective strings from the system, but they may have survived somewhere in the database... So if you encounter a string with Casex then you can just delete it. > store somewhere assumptions Did you see: www.project-open.org/documentation/language_de ? Somebody has copied the "localization terminology" into the German language page. I believe that's a good idea. So you could add your translation decisions at the end of that page. This way, it will also be found more easily by Google :-) Also, I've quickly checked your language_nl page: The link to the "SPIR-IT" partner page doesn't work, I've fixed it. I've also checked the page "partner_spir_it" (following our Wiki conventions). I've also put HTML-link from your SPIR-IT logo directly to your www.spir-it.nl. Google really likes the links coming from large logos... Cheers! Frank _____ Von: "Euro Transmit, S.L. - Michael Martí Menzel" [mailto:m.m...@eu...] Gesendet: Dienstag, 21. In my translation I had left it as it is, hoping to find it somewhere "in context", but it has not. I guess this might be a customized string (some feature for a PO-customer). Frank and Klaus will have to help us here. Your remark is very reasonable. I would use the "Comment" field that appears below the translation field to register these remarks. Being a central translation repository, anyone editing the translations (yourself or another contributor) might have thus the chance to see alternatives to the actual translation, remarks etc. Best, Michael P.R.J. I've found the Casex definitions in Timesheet2: intranet-timesheet2.Casex Casex Not translated intranet-timesheet2.Casex_for Casex for Not translated intranet-timesheet2.Casex_Summary Casex Summary Not translated I'll replace Visa amount by Creditcard amount. Another point: I maybe a good idea to store somewhere some assumptions made during the translation. For instance: I found it hard to define the correct Dutch phrases for some ITIL items. This due to the fact that we are used to work with a lot of English words. E.g. SLA is an English definition, but it is also well known in the Dutch language. Despite this, I've used the Dutch translation because the Dutch part of Belgium is used to work with the 'real Dutch' words. I've used the translationlist as defined by the official Dutch ITIL workgroup. To my opinion this should by stored somewhere, so in case of discussion everybody can see what and why an assumption has been made. (As you can see/read, I'm not a translator, but a Project Manager :-) ) With kind regards, Paul Permentier SPIR-IT Sourcing Solutions b.v. Did the small video tutorial help you to get your feet wet? => "Accounting contact" is your contact person at the Accounting department of your partner, not the "account manager". It is the person you annoy when you're not being getting paid on time. => Casex : I have not found this one in my messages. In which package did it appear? => Visa amount - I guess you assumption is correct. Best, Michael ]PO[-LoCo P.R.J. Permentier escribió: Hi Frank, Im almost finished with the batch translation. I would like to check all screens to be sure Ive used the correct translation everywhere, so please consider this version to be the first draft. I've a question: Is the Accounting Contact on screen Company Information the Contactperson for financial matters, or the Account manager? I dont know what Casex is. Is this a name for a specific product? Visa Amount is this the amount an a Visa credit card, and if so, should the name of this field be Credit Card Amount? Furthermore, I dont mind to translate closed source modules, so if I can help you let me know. With kind regards, Paul Permentier Paul Permentier SPIR-IT Sourcing Solutions b.v.
