Great to hear you're participating. And I believe you've 
already subscribed to the mailing list...

So the next step would be to transfer your existing French
localization to the l10n server. In order to do that you
need to perform two steps:

1. Go to /acs-lang/admin/ and click on the "Export all messages"
   link and


2. Tar the French "catalog" files:

	# su - projop
	$ cd packages
	$ find . -name '*fr_FR*xml' | xargs tar czf
catalog.stoquart.fr_FR.tgz

3. Please upload the file to: 
   http://l10n.project-open.net/intranet-filestorage/

4. On the operating system level, I'll have to extract the 
   included catalog files to the server. 

5. In /acs-lang/admin/ I'll go to "French" and click on 
   "Import all messages for this locale".


Working on the L10n server only makes sense for you after step 5) 
has been finished, otherwise it might be double work.

One important task for a "language lead" would be to define the
"terminology" for French. Did you see the new file:
http://www.project-open.org/documentation/developers_terminology?

It would be great if you could define the French translations
for some of the key terms from the terminology and insert these 
definitions into the French language page: 
www.project-open.org/documentation/language_fr

I believe this terminology is pretty important because there 
are many different options on how to translate terms in ]po[:

- Accounting "SAP" Style:
  SAP and other accounting packages use a very formal accounting
  language for terms. Even though this language is very precise,
  it repells non-accounting professionals and in particular IT
  people.

- More Informal Style:
  We have chosen the more informal "Kundenrechnung" in German 
  instead of "Kreditorenrechnung" to keep the language more
  accessible, for example.

I'm not sure if there are similar decisions that you could take
in French...
