When you clone a project, the project gets created, but you are not redirected to the newly created project. Instead, a server error shows up on the bottom of the page.
Additionally, the cloning feature is quite buggy. These are the issues:
- Project start and end date should not be cloned: the most logical would be to have current date set as the start and end date.
- Project status should also not be cloned. Most of the times you clone a Closed project and it makes no sense that the newly-created project keeps this status. You want the cloned project to be Open or Potential. So I would put "Open" by default.
- Translation folders should be created when you have selected "Clone target languages" (right now they are not created, so you need to go back to the "Edit Details" screen)
- Translation tasks are now created, but this should be optional. Most of the times you want to create different tasks (with different wordcounts).
- If you select "Clone costs" (BTW, the label is misleading, I would replace it with "Clone Financial documents"), the resulting documents keep the date and status of the original Financial Docs. Again, they should have the current date and Created status.
Cloning a project is a practical way of saving time, but the feature - as it is - is far from perfect. Please fix it.
Ciao
Marco
