#712 Too many redirects occurred while changing project type

After changing a project type from "Other" to "Task" and clicking save the server returns the following message:

"Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://testhouse.project-open.net/intranet/projects/view?project%5fid=30001”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page."

If you go to the project list the project is not there anymore.
If you search for the project using the search functionality the project appears, but clicking it returns the same error again.

I'm running ]project-open[ version: 3.4.0.8.6, hosted by ]PO[ directly.
The error happens on Safari and Firefox. Tried with different cookie settings

Please have a look, the project is named: Internal - Sales and Marketing.
The URL is http://testhouse.project-open.net/intranet/projects/view?project%5fid=30001
