> patryk><Global> > patryk> UseTCPD on > patryk> TCPDServiceName ftp > patryk></Global> [...] I've got following modules : (checked by command proftpd -l ) Compiled-in modules: mod_core.c mod_auth.c mod_xfer.c mod_site.c mod_ls.c mod_unixpw.c mod_log.c mod_tls.c mod_ratio.c mod_readme.c mod_tcpd.c mod_pam.c There is no mod_wrap here, but there is mod_tcpd, which i assume is responsible for using TCPD feature. In my /etc/hosts.allow files is such a registration : [path to my hosts.allow : /etc/tcpd/hosts.allow] proftpd : 212.132.17.120 etc... and it works, but in my proftpd.conf is "TCPDServiceName ftp" entry ! So when i use "ftp" service name in my hosts.* files it doesn't work ! Of course first I restart my proftpd server by command "/etc/rc.d/init.d/proftpd restart " > http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/modules/mod_wrap.html > > patryk>and i can guess, the directive TCPDServiceName ftp creates service name > patryk>inside hosts.{allow|deny} files and it should work properly. > > The module does not create or edit the hosts.allow/deny files, it merely > reads them. Yes i know it, English is not my native language ... ;-) >If you configure the TCPServiceName in proftpd.conf to be > "ftp", then you'll need to edit your hosts.allow/deny files to say "ftp" > instead of "proftpd" as well. yes, but it doesnt't work ;-( > Hope this helps... nevertheless I thank you for your time and help ;-) |
