Hello! I want to create an ftp server with separated (,but sometimes shared) contents for many users, and users sometimes can login not just to one separated content. Example: Username UserPass Homedir/DefaultRoot user1 pass1 /ftp1 user2 pass2 /ftp1 user3 pass3 /ftp1 user1 pass1 /ftp2 user3 pass3 /ftp2 user4 pass4 /ftp3 etc. I tried Virtualhost, but it can be another ip or other port, the other port can be usable, just I don't want users to memorize port numbers. So the user can give the ftp server hostname in his username, and the proftpd forward the login to te virtualhost, or the port for virtualhost? (example username: user1*ftp1) Maybe can the virtualhost run on the same port and choose it from username? Maybe can I modify dinamically the users homedir based on the loginname? And finally can I connect this with ldap authentication? Thank you very much, blackluck |
