Hey all, I'm having trouble connecting to my FTP server using Internet Explorer. Normally I wouldn't care about IE, but I'm making this for users that don't know how to use anything else and it would be a big pain to teach anything else. I can connect to the server using anything else: mozilla, netscape, ws_ftp, command prompt in windows, and just plain console. They all work fine, just not IE. I've messed with the FTP settings in IE, but nothing works. I'm running ProFTPd 1.2.8 on FreeBSD 4.9. Here is my proftpd.conf: ServerName "Nahun's FreeBSD FTP Server" ServerType inetd DefaultServer on # Port 21 is the standard FTP port. Port 21 # Umask 022 is a good standard umask to prevent new dirs and files # from being group and world writable. Umask 022 # Set the user and group under which the server will run. User nobody Group nogroup # To cause every FTP user to be "jailed" (chrooted) into their home # directory, uncomment this line. DefaultRoot ~/ftpfiles # Normally, we want files to be overwriteable. <Directory /> AllowOverwrite on <Limit ALL> DenyAll </Limit> <Limit READ WRITE DIRS> AllowAll </Limit> </Directory> <Limit LOGIN> AllowUser bob AllowUser fred DenyAll </Limit> ScoreboardFile /var/run/proftpd.scoreboard AuthPAM on AuthPAMConfig ftp AuthPAMAuthoritative on PersistentPasswd on UseReverseDNS off IdentLookups off |
