I'm getting copious compiler warnings and errors with 2.3.1, like:

   d_main.c:140:
      error: static declaration of =E2=80=98basetic=E2=80=99 follows non-=
static declaration
   doomstat.h:227:
      error: previous declaration of =E2=80=98basetic=E2=80=99 was here

Every time I fix one error, another one takes its place.  ;) Is this vers=
ion
of the code currently being worked on?

Ultimately, I want to hack on a project to teach myself game programming.=

know, but am inexperienced with, SDL and OpenGL.  I spent time looking at=

the doom legacy code, but it was a mess and looks abandoned.  Is this a g=

project to cut my teeth on?
