My RedHat 8.0 has Kernel 2.4.18-17.8.0 and the pptp-command version is V1.7 2001/04/03 03:04:53. As noted in my other reply, I am using version 1.0.3 in order to get MPPE support. Using the work around seems to do the trick. John -----Original Message----- From: James Cameron [SMTP:jam...@hp...] Sent: 04 November 2002 23:42 To: John Barnes Cc: 'ppt...@li...' Subject: Re: [pptp-devel] pptp-command failure Diagnosis: known problem. http://pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-diagnosis.phtml#insecure_dependency Solution: upgrade to 1.1.0 Workaround: remove the "T" from the first line of pptp-command. I didn't get this when I ran pptp-command 1.1.0 on Red Hat 8.0. What version are you running? # grep "Id" `which pptp-command` -- James Cameron (jam...@hp...) http://quozl.linux.org.au/ (or) http://quozl.netrek.org/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: ApacheCon, November 18-21 in Las Vegas (supported by COMDEX), the only Apache event to be fully supported by the ASF. http://www.apachecon.com _______________________________________________ pptpclient-devel mailing list ppt...@li... https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/pptpclient-devel --- Incoming mail is certified Virus Free.
