Currently, PPIV divides the image into a series of complete interrogation regions. If the size of the interrogation region does not divide evenly into the image size, the number of regions will be set to the maximum whole regions that can fit within the image, starting from the top-left corner of the image. Since the most interesting features will most likely be centered in the image, we may see improved results by centering the set of regions within the image boundaries, so that any data not used lies equally along all the edges of the image, rather than biased to the bottom and right edges.
