Hello everyone!I have succesfully installed PPCboot on our custom MPC8260 board. Nevertheless , there seems to be a problem while I try to boot a Linux kernel image I downloaded. Here is the prompt :=> imi 500000## Checking Image at 00500000 ... Image Name: 2.4.17_Kernel_Image_no_03 Image Type: PowerPC Linux Kernel Image (gzip compressed) Data Size: 450234 Bytes = 439 kB = 0 MB Load Address: 00000000 Entry Point: 00000000 Verifying Checksum ... OK Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Error: inflate() returned -3GUNZIP ERROR - must RESET boardI have succesfully installed PPCboot and Linux on other (MPC 860 and MPC8260 based) boards but never had problems with the uncompressing of the kernel. Our custom board has 32 Mbytes of SDRAM located on the Local bus. I-cache and D-cache are both disabled. Can this uncompress problem be caused by a misconfiguration of the SDRAM ? Or because it is located at the local bus? One more vital (!!!) question : Will there be a problem for us to port Linux on our board since we have the SDRAM located only on the local bus? Thank you in advance for your time and interest.Best RegardsStergios D SpanosTelecom LabNational Technical University of Athens --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
