First release - in the Download Section - Gentoo with Vicidial, is complete. I am now working on merging FreePBX with Vicidial. Then I will clean it up, move text items into Perl Scripts, etc. But for anyone needing to install Vicidial on Gentoo, it is up and running (and tested). I have also done an install with inbound lines, but haven't had time to post the code. That will come with the FreePBX version.

The first post is completed. Installation of Vicidial from scratch on Gentoo. I will add to and tweak these instructions and add downloadable scripts, etc., as time allows. I wanted to get the first version online as quickly as possible, with a functional install of vicidial, and here it is! I have personally tested this install and it is quite functional for outbound campaigns. If you have a list of 500 existing customers to whom your customer service reps need to talk, this install will give them a great relief and allow them to keep working while the dialer does it's thing. It's working great for us. Great time saver.

First posts will be documentation for installation of Asterisk with Vicidial on Gentoo 2007 and Asterisk with FreePBX on Gentoo 2007. Neither is complete yet, but both are functional. After that I will update as regularly as I can with the goal being Vicidial AND FreePBX on the same Asterisk Gentoo box.
