Hello, Am Freitag, 16. Januar 2009 schrieb David Goodwin: > Could : > > wizactive and lenix be given SVN write access please? Done. @lenix & wizactive: Welcome to the "official" postfixadmin development team :-) @David: I have also made you a project admin, so that you can give out permissions yourself in the future. I also released some mails from non-members to the mailinglist - unfortunately with some delay because I was away since friday and had to handle more important things first after I was back. @David: Are you interested in a moderator password for the mailinglist? This would mean you can permit non-member posts etc. when I'm not available. Regards, Christian Boltz -- .: Schneewittchen & die Pfälzer Waldconnection :. I'll concretize and coordinate my plans before I make any svn changes. I'll try to have a look on #postfixadmin during the days next week. Needless to say that I have a lot of experience working on open source projects. I was a committer to Typo3 in the early days of that project and by now I commit to some OS projects in the Java World (I'm working as a Java Software Engineer at Mercedes-Benz Bank) Regards Jan |

My two cents: http://luigi.rosa.name/gestionemailserver.tgz The code is GNU GPL. I admit that this isn't the best PHP code I can write. Keep in mind thay this is a sort of "mail server manager" that I wrote to handle some basic operations (ldap directory, amavisd-new, policyd). Unpack in a web directory, edit include/config.php and it SHOULD work :) Unfortunately, include/config.php is the only file with english comments, anyway feel free to ask. Some remarks about the content: amavis_destinatari.php recipients table manager amavis_mittenti.php senders table manager amavis_policy.php policy editor, requires a 16:9 screen :) :) :) amavis_quarantena.php quarantine manager amavis_ultimora.php mail handled during the last hour amavis_visualizzamail.php displays a single mail message amavis_wblist.php whitelist/blacklist manager cron-notifica.php sends a message with the quarantined messages during the last day (script to be CRONed daily) ldap_*.php poor man's (or blonde woman) ldap editor :) policyd_*.php policyd (1.x) manager > From looking on the web, there is an mailzu-ng project, which may take > off where mailzu has failed. I did not see much enthusiasm in the ng- project, but I may be wrong. Hi, I /think/ I use amavis-new, and refer to it as amavis ;) Are there major differences? presumably amavis is dead, and everyone uses amavis-new? If you want to contribute the code, that would earn you plenty of brownie points. From looking on the web, there is an mailzu-ng project, which may take off where mailzu has failed. thanks David -- David Goodwin [ david at codepoets dot co dot uk ] [ http://www.codepoets.co.uk ] |

It would be great if the code would support amavisd-new too. I wrote a very simple a PHP code to handle some features of amavisd-new+MySQL at sysadmin level, since mailzu seems rather abandoned, but at user interface level my code is very... basic, since is written for SysAdmins and not for users. Hi, I've been busy merging patches recently, and I think we're at the point of releasing 2.3beta ... and hopefully then 2.3. I'll probably release 2.3beta (.debs and .tar.gz) tomorrow (Friday) assuming I get time around my son's 1st birthday party etc. Then I'll probably wait a week, and then release 2.3. I'm fairly confident that all the MySQL upgrade issues have been fixed (all due to character sets)... which was perhaps the biggest thing holding back the next release. Future wise ... I'm personally interested in merging in Amavis stuff (see postvisadmin.sf.net ... which shares similarities at the DB level, but not much at the code level; I've emailed the author and he appears happy for a merge to take place). Wiza (IRC) appears to be busy converting the code base to use the Zend framework and Doctrine. Hopefully this will make the project more buzzword compliant, and also secure - and I can always hope - others will join in it's development. Additionally I can hope that it'll lead to development of an XMLRPC interface for e.g. vacations/password changing/forwarding etc as done by the squirrelmail and roundcube plugins. Anyway, my initial thoughts are, if I get to merge Amavis stuff - this will be after 2.3 is released. Hopefully it'll warrant a 3.0 release. Depending on timing, Wiza's codebase refactoring will probably form e.g. 4.0. I don't know if it'll be possible to do an incremental merge - which I'd prefer (who hands out SVN access?) I've no idea how long the Amavis or ZF/Doctrine stuff will take... I suspect the ZF/Doctrine change (if it finishes) will be very invasive and probably cause plenty of new bugs. Amavis support should be relatively easy and give us a nice new feature. Feedback/Bug Reports/Criticism/Patches/Comments welcome... I thought I'd fixed the Squirrelmail plugin - so it should behave properly. Firstly, what version of the vacation.pl script did you make changes to? It doesn't seem to be what's in SVN/trunk, so I'm assuming it's perhaps 2.1? Secondly, what problem(s) were you trying to solve? Why didn't it work for you - and what do your changes achieve? Together with a plugin for squirelmail this makes my users very happy with the spam+virus scan setup. I used this guide as base for my setup: http://www200.pair.com/mecham/spam/virtual.html The final setup is a bit different, but with that guide you can make everything work. -- Michiel van Baak mi...@va... http://michiel.vanbaak.eu GnuPG key: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x71C946BD "Why is it drug addicts and computer aficionados are both called users?" |

Hi, Has anyone here used either Postvisadmin or Mailzu? I had a look at Postvisadmin (both are web UIs to handle amavis+postfix etc). Postvisadmin seems to be based (a little) on Postfixadmin's DB structure, which makes me wonder if it's worth merging them together or not. Anyway, has anyone used either? Mailzu appears to be stagnant (with a possible fork (mailzu-ng) underway) and Postvisadmin seems to be quite new...
