I would like to signal and if possible contribute some enhancements for PA 3.0. Most of them are enhancements I am using since about 2.3.3.
The first one makes possible to add the encryption scheme to the password hash stored in the DB. This, along with Dovecot, allows to change the encryption scheme without losing all the old password hashes. The names of the schemes in PA are not exactly the same as in Dovecot, but a simple translation in dovecot password_query can be used for this. I link the patch since I don't find a way to add an attachment here. Should they disappear in the future, they are generally in my PA rpms too, in http://repo.iotti.biz.patch
The second patch enables a link in the admin interface to view a mailbox password, if it is stored in plaintext. I understand this can be questionable, but in two cases this feature was vital for me (I had to replace a comemrcial product which has this feature). I admit that the patch does not integrate optimally in the code architecture, since to put a link in the comment field in the edit page I had to modify edit.php which should be a quite general module. If I understand well, I should have modified the model file, but it was not so clear to me how to integrate a link instead of a simple comment in the comment field (I am not a programmer at all). The third allows to have a link to automatically login a webmail program (I use Horde/IMP), still in the case that passwords are stored in cleartext.Patch
The fourth makes it configurable to have or not to have the user interface access. This is useful to me because my users make use of the webmail program to change password and to handle vacation (in sieve), so the user unterface would not be compatble, and would cause confusion.Patch
All these features are activated via config. As I said, I am not a real programmer so any correction is definitely welcome.
